Another spring-summer speciality for today’s recipe. I present to you, watermelon raspberry lemonade.
Watermelon is one of the oldest known fruits with evidence that it had been cultivated during the time of the egyptian civilization. It is found in many regions of the world and is liked by many because of its sweetness and is best enjoyed as a drink. Like many other fruits, it is rich in Vitamin C and also contains lycopene, the same carotenoid that is found in tomatoes.Watermelon is a versatile fruit with many uses. Their rinds are used for pickling and watermelon seeds are dried and roasted and eaten as a snack. They have a mild nutty flavor.
Watermelon is mostly water (About 90%) and also contains lots of fiber which is necessary for a healthy digestive system. Today’s recipe is a delicious watermelon lemonade that also contains raspberries along with lemon and coconut water that give this drink a unique flavor that is surprisingly tropical yet somehow reminds us of summers and lemonade.
